A small overview of what we store and share

Aarhus Folk Festival does not use analytics cookies, advertising, pixels or third-party tracking on the website. We store your local choices and, if you sign up for festival news or join the association, process the information needed for that.

Browser storage is first-party and tied to functions such as language, theme, hearted events and offline access. The newsletter and membership forms use the festival's own endpoints and do not load third-party scripts or cookies in your browser. If we later add analytics, pixels or embedded services, the setup must be reviewed again before they are enabled.

When you sign up for festival news

We use your email address, chosen language and consent information to send festival news. We first send a confirmation email. You are only added to the list after confirming your signup.

Resend is our data processor for the contact list and email delivery. Account data, email metadata, logs and API records are stored in the United States. Resend's data processing agreement includes the relevant transfer mechanisms and safeguards.

The legal basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in an email. We retain an unsubscribe record so that we respect your choice. You can request access or deletion by writing to aarhusfolkfestival@gmail.com.

When you join the association

When you use the membership form, we process your name, your email address and your fee payment details: whether you have paid, and which mobile number you paid from. The information is sent as an email to the association's own mailbox, so the board can register your membership and reply to you. The website creates no profile or database.

The email itself is delivered through Resend on the same terms as described under festival news above.

The legal basis is your request for membership. If you also tick the newsletter box, the consent described above applies, and you are only subscribed once you confirm by email. You can request access or deletion by writing to aarhusfolkfestival@gmail.com.

Stored in your browser

  • aff_install_dismissed

    localStorage

Remembers that you dismissed the install prompt, so it does not keep appearing.

    Duration
    Until you clear browser data.
  • Serwist / browsercache

    Cache Storage and IndexedDB

    Duration
Managed by the browser. Festival image assets expire after at most 30 days without use.

How to remove it

You can always clear cookies and site data in your browser. If you then change language, theme or hearted events again, the site stores the new choice locally.
