Babykravlekoncert

Bring your baby to a concert at Skt. Lukas Kirke where babies and adults join in themselves. Rooted in folk music and hymns, we listen, sing, dance and explore together in the church's spacious interior.

The concert is for children aged 0–24 months accompanied by parents, grandparents, aunts or uncles. We take off our outdoor shoes, sit on the floor and dance in the aisles, so bring indoor shoes or non-slip socks for children and adults, as the church floor is slippery.

The music begins with babies' sensory world and movement, drawing on ancient hymns, new compositions and playful folk songs. It is not about singing or playing perfectly, but about being present and exploring voices, music and small instruments together with your child.

Jesper Vinther Petersen has played accordion throughout his life and is known from bands including Phønix and Jydsk På Næsen. He trained on the conservatory's folk music programme and passes music, dance and traditions on through school concerts, teaching, concerts and folk balls.

Maria Louise Bøg Sørensen has many years of experience teaching folk dance to children and leading baby hymn singing. She works as a minister and cultural coordinator at Skt. Lukas Kirke. For the third year running, she and Jesper unite tradition and renewal in a baby concert for all the senses.

Pushchairs can be parked in the garden behind the church.

The concert is part of the festival warm-up day on Wednesday.
