On Friday afternoon the festival invites you to a conversation concert at FOLK with Mette Kathrine Stærk and Jullie Hjetland. The format makes room for the music and the conversation around it, bringing you close to the two musicians and their world.

Mette Kathrine Stærk is an accordionist and storyteller who holds the Danish honorary title rigsspillemand, known from Zenobia and Jensen & Bugge. Her music and stories draw on encounters with traditional musicians and Denmark’s living folk tradition.

Jullie Hjetland is a Danish-Norwegian singer, composer and performer rooted in Nordic folk music. Working across folk, jazz, performing arts and electronic soundscapes, she uses her voice and body as her principal instruments.
