Family dance: folk dance for children and grown-ups

This one is for children who want to dance folk dance, and they are welcome to bring their parents or grandparents along. The family dance is for children aged 6 to 12 and their grown-ups, and we dance from 13.00 to 14.30.
Folk dance is community, fun and movement for everyone. We will dance community dances, line dances, circle dances, couple dances and much more. Everything is shown and explained, so it is easy to join in. We will sing too, maybe even sing and dance at the same time, who knows? Come and join us for a fun and cosy afternoon.
Hanne Eriksen from the festival board leads the dancing, while Ove Andersen and Bent Melvej provide the music. There is no registration, you just turn up, and you bring your own water, coffee and snacks. The afternoon is arranged by the association Aarhus Folkemusikhus.
The family dance continues after the festival, same time and place, roughly the last Sunday of the month through the season: 25 October and 22 November 2026, then 24 January, 21 February, 21 March and 18 April 2027.
