Copenhagen trio Cheap Jeep are the sound of three musical wolves who found one another somewhere between the Tasmanian wilderness, the Appalachian slopes of North Carolina, country capital Nashville and Copenhagen's inner neighbourhoods.
With resonator guitar, mandolin, double bass, three-part vocal harmonies and strong lyrics, the trio create an acoustic americana world of their own. It is rooted in folk, bluegrass and country while remaining fearlessly experimental and unconcerned with genre boundaries or musical trends.
Cheap Jeep are Australian Tom Dockray, American Rick Hauchman and Funen native Mads Bendsen. Three different musical backgrounds, personalities and nationalities have found a shared identity in their love of music, the joy of playing and a friendship with room to breathe.
Since their 2024 debut, Cheap Jeep have released three EPs, received airplay on DR P5 and built a reputation as a strong live band. On 18 September 2026 they release their first full-length album, “Weather Lady”.
