Geo Pjäserna brings together childhood friends Rasmus Theisen, an author and guitarist, and Asbjørn Elle, a cellist. Together they explore the possibilities of folk jazz with an absorbing, intense approach, often inviting guest musicians to join them.
Their music draws on the mysterious landscapes of Mols and contemporary folk music. Guitar and cello meet in cinematic melodies and lively, dynamic interplay, with room for a punk attitude. The distinctive combination of the two instruments gives the music an intimate, compelling sound.
Since their debut in 2022, Geo Pjäserna have collaborated with several artists, including Goss, bringing their distinctive interplay between guitar and cello to a wide range of concerts.
In early summer 2026 they released their second record, once again made on Mols, in collaboration with composer and trumpeter Jakob Buchanan.
