Henrik Larsen, known as Henrik fra Stevns, teaches folk and traditional dance from Denmark and the Nordic countries. He works with beginners and experienced dancers at schools, folk high schools, festivals and workshops, helping people find their way into the steps and shared movement.
He discovered folk dance in 1993 and went on to train as an instructor with both DGI and Folkedans Danmark. He now also teaches on their instructor training programmes. Along the way, he exchanged classical piano for the accordion, which often accompanies his teaching and playing for dances.
At Aarhus Folk Festival, Henrik leads the dance workshop before Det Lyse Bal together with Nordisk Dans Aarhus. He is also the dance master for the ball, guiding the audience through the dances in collaboration with Nordisk Dans Aarhus.
