Pia Nygaard is a fiddler and composer who trained on the folk music programme at the Academy of Music in Odense. She teaches folk music and ensemble playing at all levels and has many years of experience with children and adults.
Her own compositions draw on Nordic and Celtic folk music. As a teacher she works with tunes, ornamentation, rhythmic swing and ensemble playing. Her own background includes folk musicians’ associations and the Rod youth camp, where music and dancing go together.
