Deep-dive workshop in Finnish polka with Floating Sofa Quartet

Floating Sofa Quartet invite you to a lively deep dive into Finnish polka. We get close to the dance's steps, rhythm and distinctive drive, preparing both body and ears for the evening's KOM FOLK DANS, arranged in collaboration with Nordisk Dans.

The quartet brings together four folk musicians from Denmark, Finland and Sweden and has developed its own border-crossing take on Nordic folk music since 2013. Here they share experience gathered over more than a decade on stages and dance floors across Northern Europe.

The workshop takes place in PH-salen at Studenterhus Aarhus and lasts 70 minutes. Later in the same house, Floating Sofa Quartet play for the ball in its big hall, Stakladen.
