The award-winning, internationally recognised folk band Phønix plays Skt. Lukas Kirke on Sunday 27 September at 19.00. Admission is free.

In Skt. Lukas Kirke we get to hear hymns reinterpreted through folk music. In 2019 the Danish daily Kristeligt Dagblad wrote that Phønix had taken some of the best-known Danish hymn melodies back to their folk roots, putting a lift and a swing into classics such as “Lille Guds barn, hvad skader dig” and “Nu rinder solen op af østerlide”.

An occasional choir of enthusiastic folk singers joins the concert. The choir rehearses at Karen Mose's singing workshop the same afternoon.
